Backlink Tool: Your Own Backlinks
BACKLINK TOOL: YOUR OWN BACKLINKS
So just what is a backlink? It is a link on another site that leads to your own. It’s extremely important to garner a large number of backlinks for several reasons. The ranking of your page on search engines is determined by the number and quality of backlinks to your site, providing they occur naturally (you have not purchased them). Second, backlinks are how you get known on the Internet. If many other sites provide a link to yours, a natural increase in traffic to your web pages occurs. I will give you some backlink ideas a little later in this article.
Search engines generally look at the number of backlinks to decide where to put that page in the search results.
BACKLINK SOURCES You can look at backlinks like votes – the higher the quantity of votes (backlinks) the more of an authority the page is considered by the search engine. Backlinks from authoritative sites will get more consideration from the search engines. You really do not want to use a backlink building service to do this.
GOOGLE PAGE RANK
Google uses the concept of ‘page rank’. This is the property it attaches to a page it considers to have a history of accumulating content from backlinks. This is figured using algorithms, and is quite a complex method.
HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN BACKLINKS
Since we are on the subject of backlinks, here are some of the things I do to create them naturally. Ironically, it is really just a part of your internet marketing strategy. I do not recommend, nor do I use any backlink software to have backlinks put on other sites. Here is a very easy way to create your own backlinks:
1. I always look up the keywords for my subject. You can do that here: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal 2. Usually I try to start with a top level keyword or key phrase which has a good amount of visitor traffic. 3. At that point, I make a list of these keywords. I like to get 4 or 5 of them to use. 4. Then I create my article, video, etc. using the group of keywords I have researched. 5. When I create my content I do so with the reader in mind so as each piece of content attracts backlinks to itself as well as sends backlinks to the page I want people to visit. I really strive to do this, as someone doing a search may hit one of the keywords I have listed. Thus it will be easier to find what I have published.
FREE BACKLINK CHECKER
Here is a free backlink checker that you can use: www.domain-pop.com/backlink-check.php
So to summarize it all, backlinks are simply links of yours that are on some other website. Also, take advantage of the suggestions I have given to create your own backlinks. If your creating backlinks naturally in your internet marketing campaign, the issue of backlinks is one you will not have to worry about.
