Steps to rectify the errors in MS Outlook
Heavy and bulky PST files slowdown the performance of MS Outlook. Moreover, MS Outlook can show you error 80040813 after exceeding the 2GB limitation. For rectifying the error 80040813 a user can try the Scanpst tool.
Note: An Outlook user can avert the 80040813 error by properly maintaining it with 2GB Truncation tool. This is again a Microsoft based tool which can crop the size of bulky PST files. After manually deleting the unwanted files from inbox, sent items, contacts and using the 2GB Truncation tool a user can optimize the efficiency of MS Outlook.

The first thing to do is locating Inbox Repair Tool in the program files. Close MS Outlook and search the Scan PST Tool. It can be in hidden form as the Show hidden files and folders option is not enabled. Switch the hide files and folders option to Show hidden files and folders option. Search the Scanpst.exe tool in the search box. For locating the Scanpst.exe tool you can also conduct a manual search by typing these commands as per the Windows version:

Create a new profile and move the repaired files into it.
If the files have not been recovered then it is the time to use Kernel for Outlook PST Repair. This is a highly sophisticated software which is far better than the Inbox Repair Tool. It can even repair the .EML, .DBX and .MSG formats.
